About Us

The Mary Pauline Gallery and Mary Pauline Projects were pioneered by Mary Pauline “Molly” McDowell. Molly began her career in various galleries and art consultation firms in Atlanta, Ga in the mid 1990s. In 1998 she left Atlanta to open the Mary Pauline Gallery which flourished in downtown Augusta for 10 years. Molly created Mary Pauline Projects in 2009.

Molly has worked with many career artists hailing from the Southern U.S. and beyond.  She has worked closely with Augusta State University, Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art and The Morris Museum of Art on art installations and joint exhibitions. Through Mary Pauline Projects, Molly created a two week exhibition titled Southern Style Art for the Master’s Golf Tournament. She also installed an art exhibition in the hospitality house at River Island for Mercedez Benz during Masters 2009.

Most recently, Molly has secured a contract with MCG Health Inc. to install art in Medical College of Georgia medical buildings. She is also working towards other art contracts with health communities throughout the Southeast. Molly continues to work with businesses and interior designers on art consultations. She also orchestrates private art showings and sales.
